About the Opportunity

SA Freight Logistics (SAFLog) is looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious Service Driver to become part of its Fleet Operations team. This role is ideal for a professional driver who is committed to delivering excellent transport services while maintaining the highest standards of road safety, compliance, and customer service.

As a Service Driver, you will play an important role in supporting daily logistics operations by transporting goods, materials, and personnel safely and efficiently. You will also ensure that company vehicles remain in excellent operating condition and that all transport activities comply with company policies and road traffic regulations.

 Main Responsibilities

As a Service Driver, your duties will include:

* Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with all traffic laws and company procedures.

* Deliver goods, equipment, materials, and personnel to designated destinations on schedule.

* Complete daily vehicle inspections before and after each trip to ensure roadworthiness.

* Report any vehicle faults, damages, or maintenance requirements promptly.

* Maintain accurate delivery records, logbooks, and transport documentation.

* Follow all company health, safety, and compliance procedures during transport operations.

* Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.

* Ensure cargo is transported securely and handled with care.

* Keep company vehicles clean, presentable, and well-maintained at all times.

* Support the Fleet Department in achieving safe, efficient, and reliable transport operations.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

* Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.

* Valid South African Driver's Licence (Code B, C, or EC).

* Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP).

* Between 2 and 5 years of relevant driving experience.

* Good knowledge of South African road regulations and safe driving practices.

* Ability to work responsibly under pressure while meeting delivery schedules.
