About the Role

Apex Cordset Technologies Pty Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated **Factory Technician** to join its production team in Johannesburg. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong mechanical background who are passionate about maintaining manufacturing equipment and ensuring efficient production processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting factory operations by maintaining machinery, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and working closely with production teams to minimise downtime while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

 Minimum Requirements

* N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related trade qualification.

* Trade Test or trade papers will be an added advantage.

* At least **2 years of experience** in a manufacturing or mechanical environment.

* Previous experience with moulding and crimping machinery is preferred.

* Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability.

* Competence in using hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as callipers, micrometres, and dial indicators.

* Basic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.

* Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

* Understanding of electrical systems.

* Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.

Working Environment

* Factory-based position.

* Daily exposure to manufacturing machinery and production equipment.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

* Comfortable working in areas with machinery noise while following safety procedures.
